Reviews:

Designed for use with small indoor or small to mid-sized outdoor multirotor crafts, or as a standalone camera stabilizer. The Naze32 flight controller is extremely simple to setup, with configuration based on the familiar “MultiWii” software. The Acro version is the same as the full Naze32 board except the full version comes with the MS5611 barometer and a magnetometer.

The Rev 6. board has a few update over the popular Rev 5. model, these include:

  • USB port has been moved to the right of the board so you no longer need to mount the board sideways or change its offset.
  • IMU sensors upgraded to MPU 6500 (Rev 5 uses older MPU 6050)
  • PPM/PWM receiver connectors are no longer solder pads but common pin hole headers style. This means that you no longer need to directly solder your receiver wires to the flight controller.
  • Integrated SBUS inverter for direct FrSKY SBUS input.
  • Dedicated Spectrum Satellite port.
  • Additional 16mb flash memory for blackbox recording.
  • Sonar pads w/resistors added for direct connection to 5V sonar
  • Acro model comes with BMP280 barometer
  • Fully pin compatible with Rev 5 boards for accessories such as OSD.

Note the ESC calibration process has changed with Rev6. To calibration the ESCs in the normal way through cleanflight, you must disconnect any 5v power supplies to the Naze32, using just the USB to power the Naze itself. Update: Now REV 6.B, back to normal, you can leave 5v power supplies to the FC connected.

Features:

  • Battery voltage monitoring
  • Built-in FrSky telemetry converter / dedicated Spectrum Satellite port
  • Modern 32-bit processor (STM32 F103) running at 3.3V/72MHz.
  • Onboard USB for setup and configuration
  • Modern GUI for all operating systems, Baseflight Cleanflight Configurator

Versions:

All the versions use the same basic hardware such as the STM32F103CBT6 CPI running at 72Mhz with 16Mb of flash memory. The sensors is where each of the versions differ:

Naze32 ACRO: BMP280 (Baro), MPU6500 (IMU), None (Mag)

Naze32 Full: MS5611 (Baro), MPU6500 (IMU), HMC5983 (Mag / Compass)

Configuration software - Chrome Cleanflight Configurator

Drivers

NOTE: To ensure driver compatibility, please connect the board via USB before soldering any pins to the board - we can't accept a return after the board has been soldered.

Header pins connections are used for the motor/ESC outputs and wire-to-board ports for the RC inputs and auxiliary functions like GPS, buzzer, etc. Please note that while header pins are provided (both 90-degree & vertical), you will need to solder them to the flight control board.
