White Strobon Cree® Standalone LED Strobe Light​ - USB Rechargeable

The brightest stobes have just got even brighter! Flytron have replaced the already very bright HPLEDs used on their Standalone LED module, with super bright Cree® LEDs.

Strobon Standlone LEDs have their own battery pack so there is zero wiring needed to install them. The battery is rechargeable from a USB power connection and fully charged they will run for a massive 2 hours, so you won't be charging them very often. They only weigh 4grams so they can be glue or Velcroed to your aircraft, we like the velcro options as it means they can be quickly removed for easy charging and can also be moved to other aircraft. They are particularly suited to enclosed multirotors like the DJI Phantom / Inspire, 3DR Solo, Yuneec and Walkera drones.

The Strobons are available in four colours white, red, green and blue. All flash in a strobing pattern.

Warning, these lights are seriously bright, we wouldn't recommend looking directly at them close-up, they are blinding!

If you would prefer to hardwire the Strobons, there are the Stobons V2s, which feature multiple flashing modes and RC control. We also have Cree® XPE breakout boards which can be driven by the Cree® Standalone to provide an extra stobe.

Colour Selection 

Because of human eye's limitations, Every colour has different visibility and energy transfer rate. Also every LED colour has different chemical compounds and effciency.
According our experience in years;
WHITE: The best visibility and efficienty. 
RED: 2th in the visibility, efficiency is same as white but the best for warning. 
GREEN:  3th in the visibility and efficiency. Best for Standard RED/GREEN (Left/Right) navigation usage.
BLUE: 4th in visibility and also efficiency.  We are not suggesting this colour for warning or navigation but special usage. 

Bottom line: White and Red is the best option if you need long range visible strobes. And you can use the green to identify your flying platform direction. Blue is only for special applications. 

Usage:

• BATTERY STATUS: Press the button then release to learn battery status when it is OFF.
  (1 blink: Need Charge, 2 blink: It's OK, 3 blink: Fully Charged)
• ON/OFF: Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn ON or OFF
• CHARGE: Plug it to any micro USB charger or computer port when charging required.
  - The LED will blink with very short bursts when charging.
  - The LED will blink with 1 second ON / 2 seconds OFF pattern when the battery is fully charged. 
  It takes 2 hours for empty batteries. 

Notice: The battery includes it's own PCM module. This module protects the battery from overcharge and discharge for long lifespan. If there is no life sign on the circuit when you press the button, the discharge protection function has probably activated because of low battery voltage. Just charge it and try again.

This product is compatible with latest FAA and CAA anti collision lights rules for drones. It's visible from 3 miles away at night.
