Reviews:

The V2 version of the SKY04X has an improved DVR - it now records at 60FPS, up from 30FPS.

The SKY04X is Skyzone's top of the range FPV goggle and has a valid claim of being one of the best analogue FPV goggles on the market currently. It builds on the success of the SKY03O headset, which was Skyzone’s first goggle to feature an OLED display. The SKY04X has one too, but with its resolution is higher, 1280X960 vs. 1024x768. The optics are improved also. Its field of view is now a massive 46 degrees (previously 35 degrees) - it's truly immersive! It's also a goggle that will suit a lot more users; for the first time is has an adjustable focal distance (-6~+6) - so diopter lenses aren't required.

Another huge step forward with this goggle is the introduction of a brand new receiver module. It's called SteadyView and works like other leading receiver modules in that it merges two video signals into one image to produce the strongest possible reception and clearest image. Like a regular receiver module, it's compatible with all 5.8Ghz analogue video transmitters.

More good news, the complicate multifunction menu buttons that have been used on previous Skyzone goggles are gone and have been replaced by intuitive scrolling menu wheels - they really are so much easier to use.

As with all Skyzone goggles, the SKY04X is features packed. There's a DVR for recording flight footage, which is also useful if you crash as you can play back footage to help find your model. Also support for head tracking which can make FPV even more immersive. Connectivity is good too; there is a AV input and output, also a HDMI input so you could use the goggles with HD FPV system like Fat Shark Shark Byte.

The goggles come with all the cables you'll need to get going and usefully they can be powered by any 2S to 6S LiPo, and also for the first time a USB 5V power supply. Another new addition is a power button, a simple feature but something that is missing from so many FPV goggles.
