LEDs look great at night and they can be useful to help with orientation even in the daytime. LEDs also come in handy for FPV miniquad racing. Racing drones are actually quite hard to see on FPV video, especially if you are racing at full speed through a field of trees. Using LEDs is one solution to the problem. Fix a few to your drone and it will make it much easier for your mates to follow you.

We stock quite a range of LEDs on our website, so much so you might be spoilt for choice, but if you're after some LEDs for a racing drone, look no further than these Matek circular LED boards. The have been designed specifically for racing drones. They are super bright, available in four different colours and are easy to install. The way that they attach is pretty neat; they sit beneath you motors on the underside of your frame and attach simply by passing the motor screws through them. The circular LED boards are compatible with 18XX / 22XX regular motor mounts.

The LEDs require a 5volt DC input, so you will need a voltage regulator (BEC) to step down your battery voltage to them, for example the Matek Micro BEC. Alternatively, you could use the Matek 5 in 1 PDB to power them.

The circular LED boards come as a pair, and are available in white, red, green and blue colour options.
