ISDT Air 8 DC Portable Smart Balance Charger 500W 20A 1-8S with BattAir Plugins

Bundled with the Air 8 charger are two BattAir Plugins (BAP4 for 3-4S and BAP6 for 5-6S). The iSDT BattAir Plugins allows BattAir chargers to monitor battery charging status in real time and recognize power levels, battery parameters, and usage records.

The Air 8 is the next generation of smart pocket charger from ISDT, replacing the Q8 with its enhanced wireless connectivity. As it names suggests, ISDT's Air8 supports the new BattAir smart battery technology to smartly exchange battery information with the charger - more info about that here. The charger also works with the ISDLink App which allows you to wirelessly operate the charger including monitoring the current charge status. The Air 8 support up to 8S balance charging for LiFe/LiPo/ULiHV, 1-12S for Pb, 1-16S for NiMH/CD Batteriesis. It is capable of charging up to a massive 500W (20Amp) with a matching external power supply. The discharging power is 15W at a 0.1–1.5A.

Being pocket size, it serves very well as a field charger. You don't need a dedicated DC power supply to use it, simply hook it up to your car battery and you'll be charging in seconds. If you have larger LiPo packs you could run it off those too. 

The interface is super slick and the touch screen buttons makes navigating the menus easy. The display is bright and readable even in direct sunlight.

The charger itself is compatible with pretty much any kind of battery, even new ULiHV packs and also really big batteries, for LiPos it's compatible with up to 8S! If your batteries use XT60 plugs you can connect them directly without an adapter.

The Air 8 has lots of functions including charge, discharge and storage modes as well as accurate voltage readings and internal resistance measurements. There's also a mode called 'Destroy' - this mode can be used to fully discharge a battery down to 0V for disposal.
