Hawkeye Little Pilot 5" All-in-One 5.8GHz 40CH FPV Monitor w/Raceband

FPV monitors don't come much more compact than the 5 inch Hawkeye Little Pilot all-in-one display, FPV receiver. While its small size may make it unsuitable for some applications, it lends itself to others. Being barely bigger than your average size wallet means it can easy slip into a coat pocket. Its low weight is also an advantage if you plan to mount it on your radio transmitter. Whereas some monitors are incredibly heavy, the Little Pilot only weighs 180grams, so you'll barely notice the difference with it attached.

Even though it's small, it still boasts a lot of features. To begin with the screen itself has a great resolution, 800x480 to be exact, which on a 5" display looks fantastic. The screen also has a very bright 700cd/m² LED backlight, which makes it one of the brightest we have used and suitable for outdoor applications. For those that plan to use the screen for FPV, you'll be please to know that the screen doesn't suffer from 'blue screen' when signal drops. The display even features a signal strength indicator so you’ll know when you’re running out of range, and a timer so you'll be able to gauge how much battery life you have left.

The Little Pilot’s inbuilt 5.8GHz receiver matches the screen on its performance. It boasts 40 channels, across four bands making it compatible with most FPV equipment on the market including Fat Shark and ImmersionRC. The array of channels includes Race Band frequencies, which will be good news to those wanting to use it for FPV drone racing. The channels can be selected at the push of a button and it also has an auto-search function, which is very handy for quickly finding the correct channel for your video transmitter. Best still, the Little Pilot even comes with a right-hand circular polarised antenna for better reception.

The Little Pilot features an integrated rechargeable battery, which does away with another thing to bring into the field with you. The battery life is up to 3 hours and it can be easily recharged via the screen’s USB port.

Finally, the Little Pilot even comes with its own handy radio transmitter mount. The screen is securely held in a large clip style mount, which means it can be detached quickly if you want to remove it for charging or simply to use it away from your radio control. The mount features a ball socket, letting you easily position the screen to suit your preferred viewing angle.
