Reviews:

This professional series servo tester has several function modes (see below) for the most comprehensive diagnostic of your servos. Why do you need a servo tester? - Bad servos can keep your grounded or can lead to costly, devastating crash. This portable device allows you to test the functionality of your servos and ESC without having to connect your radio, receiver and battery. Servos testers also allow you to easily center your servos when attaching servo horns and making control surface adjustments. This time-saving tool is a must have tool for any RC enthusiast.

FEATURES:

  • Fully electronic for the most accurate, consistent testing
  • High-contract LCD screen and large rotary knob for easy, simple programming
  • Equipped with servo and receiver wires
  • Can be powered via the balance connector of a 2S lipo battery or via the 7.4v-12v DC input with the included leads
  • 4.8 volt output

MODES:

  • LN Mode - This mode is used to test the linearity and vibration of a servo. This can also be used to test the linearity and vibration point of an ESC.
  • ED Mode - The mode is used to test the endurance of a servo.
  • FP Mode - This mode is used to test the servo's ability to center itself. If installed on the plane, you can find out the theoretic mid-point of servo exactly.
  • DB Mode - The mode is used to test the dead band of a servo. It can also be used to calculate the resolution of a servo. The test can also be used to choose the servo based on differential timing. This is great for models like CCPM which need 3 servos for its rotor head.
  • SP Mode - This mode is used to perform a speed test for a servo, and it allows you to choose the most appropriate servo based on all the parameters that are performed in the test (i.e. reaction time and differential timing).
  • WP Mode - The mode is used to test the aging and life of the servo. Swings the servo left to right at a user-selected speed.
  • PW Mode - This mode is used to test the output pulse width of the connector and test whether there is any problem on the signal to the servo.

REQUIRES:

  • 2S LiPo battery.  Do not use a 3S LiPo battery as a fully charged 3S will be too much voltage for this unit.
