Reviews:

If you want to save yourself some money, buy a buzzer! It might cost £9.90, but if you crash your expensive racing drone into a field of long crop you'll probably have a hard time finding it. This little buzzer could be the saviour of it; think of it like a SOS beacon for your drone. It’s super loud to help guide you right to your lost aircraft and has a bright white flashing LED to help locate your quad in the dark. Best still, the buzzer is self-powered so if your LiPo battery disconnects from your quad in a crash - which usually happens, the buzzer automatically starts beeping. Unlike a normal buzzer which would be totally silent without power to it! The buzzer is compatible with any FC that has a buzzer connection, and you can configure it in CleanFlight/Betaflight so that you can manually turn it on/off from your radio control. Finally, you don't need to worry about recharging it as it slowly recharges from your flight controller as you fly.

Features:

  • Tiny Size, Ultra Lightweight
  • Integrated battery ensures the buzzer will work if main battery is disconnected from your quadcopter.
  • Integrated ultra bright LED
  • Ultra loud beeper (over 100dB)
  • Single button to disarm after the buzzer has activated
  • Still works as an ordinary buzzer if connected to the BUZ port on your FC
  • Integrated charger lets the buzzers internal battery charge while you are flying

Wiring: The buzzer connects to your flight controller via 3 cables. Simply solder them to your flight controller accordingly to the labels.

  • 5V (Red) to your buzzer+ pad or 5V BEC output
  • BUZ- (Green) to your buzzer ground pad on FC
  • GND (Black) to ground on FC

Operation

  • After connecting the main battery, the buzzer is automatically activated and set to armed mode.
  • While the battery is connected it acts as a standard buzzer which can be controlled by your flight controller (so you can turn it on/off via transmitter to find your aircraft).
  • After you finish your pack and disconnect your main battery the buzzer will go to pre-alarm state for 30 seconds – indicated by the Red LED flashing. After 30 seconds the buzzer / LED will start beeping / flashing.
  • To disarm the buzzer simply hold the push button for 2 seconds.

Battery note: The buzzer is shipped with its battery charged to a storage voltage. The battery is charged while flying. It will gain its full charge after approximately 2 hours of flight or you can connect the FC to a USB (if it powers the 5V rail or Buzzer+ pad). When the buzzer is charging the red LED will illuminate.
