Runcam Racer 5 1000TVL FPV Camera - 1.8MM

Runcam's latest edition of the Racer, the Racer 5 is the first FPV camera to feature a built-in gyro. The gyro allows the real-time angle of the camera to be displayed on the video OSD, a useful feature that will allow racing drone pilots to set the pitch angle of their camera with precision. This camera also features all the latest tech for low latency and a vibrant image. As before, the camera's firmware can be updated via the SpeedyBee App.

The range of FPV cameras is now huge and to be honest a little confusing. The good news is RunCam might have made your decisions a little simpler with their latest camera, the RunCam Racer. As the name suggests, the RunCam Racer is a camera specifically designed for FPV racing drones, so if that's what your looking to buy one for, then look no further.

The Racer combines all of the elements needed to make a camera perform well for FPV racing. Most importantly it boasts very low latency of only 6ms and high image sharpness; these are important characteristics for helping you to avoid obstacles and fly through race gates as quickly as possible. Furthermore the camera has an excellent dynamic range so that you can see shadow details well, and it responds to exposure changes very quickly, which is important if you are flying on a sunny day.

Next onto the form of the camera itself. At only 6.1, is very light so it's not going to slow your quad down. It's also micro sized, so suitable for most quads. It can be used on frames that suit a 28mm camera via RunCam's 19-28mm mount adapter.

Other features include the ability to switch between 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios making it compatible with all analog FPV goggles. There's also an OSD function for displaying pilot name, pitch angle and timer. Finally, the camera supports BetaFlight remote control so that you can change the camera parameters directly from your remote control.
