RunCam Hybrid 2 Dual Lens Wide Angle 4K HD & FPV Camera

This is the new version of the RunCam Hybrid: The integrated FPV cam has been upgraded to the renowned Phoenix 2 for a better FPV image.

RunCam is innovating once again with their latest camera, the RunCam Hybrid Split. It’s a dual camera offering that is designed to give you the best of both worlds, namely a low latency FPV video feed and glorious 4K video recording.

To achieve this the Hybrid uses some impressive hardware. It has a Sony 8Mp 4K camera which records rich 4K video at 30fps and 1080p at 120fps, positioned above a lower camera which is a Sony 1.3Mp that boasts an ultra-low latency of only 6ms for hyper-fluid FPV.

Other features include UART control. You can connect the camera to your FC and set it up on BetaFlight so that you can start and stop recording via a switch on your radio. The Hybrid also uses RunCam’s QR code technology to make camera setting changes a breeze. Simply download RunCam’s App on your smartphone, change the settings you want and scan the generated QR code with the camera to make the changes apply.

It’s amazing what RunCam have packed into such a small unit. The camera itself is only 19mm wide, which is equivalent to a micro FPV camera. The processing board is a single layer 29x29mm PCB with 20x20mm hole mounts – that’s smaller that the PCB of the Split Mini 2S!
