RD945 Diversity 40 Channel RaceBand 5.8Ghz FPV Receiver

The RD945 boast 48 channels, which include the 'RaceBand' frequencies. As well as being compatible with the new RaceBand frequencies, the RD945 RX is also compatible with all other 5.8Ghz frequencies, via the 5 more traditional frequency bands.

Why do I need a diversity reciever? 

A diversity receiver is essentially two receivers all in one. In essence, it allows you two mix and match antennas for a solid video link. So it might be that you select a circular polarised omnidirectional antenna, which will provide good reception in all directions in the near field, and a directional high gain patch antenna for long distance flights. The diversity receiver is clever in that it will seamlessly switch between the receiver with the strongest signal.

What is RaceBand?

RaceBand was first pioneered by ImmersionRC to allow more pilots to race together without interferance. Essentially, RaceBand is just another set of 5.8Ghz frequencies, to be specific they are: 5658, 5695, 5732, 5769, 5806, 5843, 5880, 5917. The difference between the RaceBand and the other 5.8Ghz bands is that RaceBand frequencies are more spread out across its band (37mhz separation) thus allowing more pilots to fly FPV together without their video feeds causing interference with each others.
