Happymodel Larva X Toothpick Quadcopter BNF (FrSky RXSR EU LBT)

If you are in the market for a toothpick class quadcopter, the Larva X stands out as one of the best out there. For those not familiar with this class, it's basically an ultralight micro quad than runs brushless motors on a stretched out tinywhoop frame. They are generally around 100-125mm in size and run 2inch to 2.5inch props. It's a class that's gaining popularity as they are really affordable, easily portable, can be used in smaller spaces and yet fly a lot like a full blown 5inch freestyle quad.

The Larva X is a blast to fly. You can run it on either 2S or 3S. Flying on 2S is ideal for users getting into the hobby or those with limited space. On 3S it really comes alive; the punch out is epic! It gets its power from 1103 7000KV motors matched with 2.5inch tri props. Out of the box the tune is good, so unless you want to tweak it to match your flying style, most people won't even need to look at the PIDs or adjust the rates.

The quad is built around a 3mm thick carbon frame and uses quality components, so there's a F4 flight controller running BetaFlight with an OSD. The ESC is a 4in1 rated at 10A. For FPV it makes use of the RunCam Nano 2, which is a solid camera that performs well in different light levels and with low latency. Its Diamond VTX offers a variable 25mW - 200mW power output and with Smartaudio so you can change channel remotely. It even has a built in DVR so you can record your video interference-free onto a micro SD card (not included).

The Larva X comes fully assembled out of the box and even pre-wired with a receiver, so you'll just have to bind it to your radio control. It comes with a spare set of props, a spare canopy, fixings and a small screwdriver and hex wrench. The quad is surprising durable for such a small thing, but should you break it we stock a full range of spare parts.
