Airspeed Meter for Arkbird 2.0 / OSD Lite / OSD V3.102 Autopilot

This is the high accuracy digital airspeed meter for the Arkbird Airplane Autopilot Systems.

An airspeed meter is a really important sensor for an airplane autopilot as airspeed is a necessary condition for generation of lift force and insufficient airspeed may cause stalling. Unlike GPS which provides a groundspeed, an airspeed sensor measures the relative speed between the plane and the air. The airspeed meter can allow the autopilot to adjust throttle settings automatically to ensure that airspeed remains close to constant, decreasing and increasing depending on wind direction and desired ground speed. Furthermore, the information provided can also be used to display live airspeed information on the OSD video overlay.

Installation:

• Install the meter away from prop wash to avoid interference.
• Autopilot 2.0 (Full / Lite): Connect to "AR" port. If using AR port as RSSI for Rx, connect Airspeed Meter to the "RX" port.
• Autopilot 1.0: Upgrade to latest firmware V3.1028. Connect Black and Red wires to bottom pins of TX port, connect Yellow wire to top of RX port.
