4CH Wireless Buddy Box, Dual Redundant Receiver Backup System

Here's a great alternative to a conventional buddy-box setup. It involves no trainer cable and doesn't require the master and slave transmitter / receiver to be of the same make or model; you can mix JR with Futaba, Spektrum with FrSky, it doesn't matter. The unit inter-connects 2 x 4 channel receivers to provide a single output for controlling your model. This means control can be switch between two pilots at the flick of a switch for the purpose of training, or used to connect together two receivers for better redundancy - the unit will switch to the slave Rx if the signal input from the master Rx is lost.

As well as pilot training, the unit opens up many other potential applications. For instance, for safe FPV flying, with it your observer could take over the flying at the flick of a switch if need be. It could also be used for single operator / dual operator control for multirotors - we've actually used this unit to synchronise gimbal controls between a pilot and their gimbal operator such that the pilot can take over the control of the gimbal or hand over control to their camera operator.

The unit is small and light as well as simple and fast to set up.
